  2. Click Edit (pencil icon) at the top right.
  3. In Basic information, under Owners, click Add owner.
  4. Select the person and click Add.

Rules and behavior

  • If someone is an owner of a review, then they can edit, launch, stop, reopen and delete that review and see all its results, but not other reviews.
  • If you remove all owners, then the review can't be saved. At least one owner is required.
  • If you have Review Process Full Visibility, then you can manage every review even if you are not an owner.
  • If you are a manager, then you see your direct and indirect reports' submitted answers when the review is Finished, or while it is Active if Grant managers early access to responses is on.
  • If Restrict results visibility is on, then evaluated employees only see the answers they wrote themselves.
  • If an action plan has started, then everyone who can see the action plan can see the self review and manager review answers it compares.
  • If Make peer review anonymous is on, then the evaluated person doesn't see who wrote each peer review. Admins, owners and the evaluated person's manager still can.
  • If someone is an additional reviewer on a manager review, then, in that review, they can fill in and submit it, see the evaluated employee's answers, scores and insights like the employee's manager does, and start and sign the action plan. See Manage an active review: participation, peers, reviewers and status.
  • If someone is replaced as reviewer, then the new reviewer can complete the evaluation and, if action plans are on, start and sign the action plan. They only see insights if they are a direct or indirect manager.

Limitations

  • You can't give an owner access to only part of a review. Owners see all results of people they are allowed to see.
  • You can't hide the potential score from managers or owners. It is hidden only from the evaluated person.
  • You can't let a manager edit review settings without making them an owner.

Troubleshooting

  • Symptom: "As a manager I can't see my team's answers yet." → Cause: the review is still Active and early access is off. → Fix: wait until the review ends, or ask the owner to turn on Grant managers early access to responses in Edit > Visibility.
  • Symptom: "An employee can't see their results after the review finished." → Cause: Restrict results visibility is on. → Fix: an owner can turn it off in Edit > Visibility while the review is still Active. It can't be changed once the review is Finished.
  • Symptom: "I'm an owner but I can't change anything." → Cause: the review is Launching. → Fix: wait a few minutes until it is Active.

 FAQ

1. Can I make a manager the owner of the review for their team only?
No. An owner can manage the whole review. Create a separate review for that team if you need separate owners.

2. Can employees see who reviewed them?
Yes for manager and self reviews. For peer reviews, only if Make peer review anonymous is off.

3. Can a reviewer see the other reviewers' answers?
No. A reviewer only sees the evaluations they wrote, unless they are also an admin, owner or the person's manager.

4. Who can see the potential score?
Admins, review owners and managers. Never the evaluated person.
