Set up custom notifications to get reminded when an employee’s probation period is ending, helping you stay organized and on top of your tasks.
The employee must have a probation period saved in their contract. Learn more about contracts here.

1. For Existing Employees
To set a trial period for an employee who is already on the platform:
- Go to the sidebar and click on Organization
- Locate and click on the profile of the employee you want to update
- Navigate to the Contracts tab
- Click on three dots and Fix Contract Conditions
- In the contract edit view, you’ll find a section called Trial Period
- Set the End Date for the trial period
- Save the changes

2. When Adding a New Employee
To set a trial period while creating a new employee:
- Go to the sidebar and click on Organization
- Click on Add Employee
- A pop-up window will appear where you can fill in the new employee’s information
- In the Agreement Information section, you’ll find the option to mark whether the employee has a trial period
- If applicable, enable the option and enter the Trial Period End Date
- Complete the rest of the form and click Save to add the employee

Configure the notifications
1. Create the Custom Notifications
- On your sidebar, click on Settings
- Scroll down and click Custom Notification
- Press +New custom notification button on the top right
- Add the title, select Based on a date, and click Before or after an event
- Save

2. Configure the custom notification
- Click the narrow arrow '>' to open the Condition of the trigger
- Set the Subject input as Contract
- The Field input as Probation period ending date
- Decide when the trigger will be activated — for example, 5 days before the trial period ends

3. Configure the action when the notification is triggered
- Press the (+) button
- Select Action then Send custom email to
- Press Add block
- Fill in the information for the custom email
- Press Save changes

Make sure that the contract start date is set. As the trial period will be counted from this start date.
