Annualisation
Tracking annual working hours—especially for non-standard or variable schedules—can be complex and risky without the right tools. The Annualisation feature simplifies this process, helping you stay compliant and plan ahead with confidence. It offers:
- Public holiday policy: choose whether public holiday are considered workable days for specific employee groups
- Accurate hour calculations: Monitor total hours worked over the year to ensure legal thresholds are respected.
- Real-time balances: View employees’ running total of annual hours directly within the timesheet.
Work policy for public holidays
You can define whether public holidays are considered workable days for specific employee groups—providing flexibility for industries or teams where standard public holiday rules may not apply.
This configuration is managed at the group or contract level and impacts how working days and hours are calculated in annualisation.

Accurate hour calculations
Under each employee’s contract, you can define how their annual working hours should be calculated. There are two options available:
1. Based on the agreement hours
Set the number of maximum legal hours per year and define the employee’s contract hours (per day, week, or month). The system then adjusts the expected number of working days across the year to ensure employees remain within legal limits.

2. Based on workdays
Instead of manually setting contract hours, the system calculates the contract hours per day automatically based on the total number of working days and the defined maximum legal annual hours.

To view annual working hours configuration, please first fill the max legal hours field under the employee contract.
Real-time balances on the timesheet
Employees and managers can track progress toward annual working hour targets directly from the Timesheet. A new Annual Hours counter displays:
- Hours worked to date
-
Maximum legal hours, prorated based on the employee’s:
- Contract start date
- Work schedule type (e.g. full-time, part-time)

This provides ongoing transparency into whether employees are on track, under, or over their expected annual hours—supporting smarter planning and proactive compliance management.
