Expense Reports

Learn how to create, manage, and submit accurate expense reports to streamline your financial processes and stay organized.

How to export an advanced report

Use the Advanced Export in the Expenses module to create highly customizable reports. Filter by user, date, category, and more—then export to review and analyze. You also can generate detailed expense reports by user and by month. These reports are useful for tracking spending patterns, managing reimbursements, and aligning with accounting needs.

  1. In your sidebar, go to Spending
  2. Click on the three dots (···) in the top right corner of the screen
  3. Select Advanced Export
  4. Choose the columns you want to include in the report (e.g., user, amount, date)
  5. Export the file in either XLSX (Excel) or CSV format.
  6. Open the file in your preferred spreadsheet tool to analyze the data.

Card Reports

Factorial lets you export all card transactions by bank account. By including the User column, you can still trace each transaction to an employee, even if the base export is account-wide

  1. In your sidebar, go to Treasury → Banks
  2. Select the relevant bank account
  3. Click on the three dots (···) and choose Export Transactions
  4. Use the available filters to add the User column to the export
  5. Export the report and filter by user and month in your spreadsheet tool
