With Factorial’s ATS, the AI agent can call every new candidate, evaluate the conversation against the criteria you define for the role, and turn each call into a structured report with a match label. Candidates who reach the minimum match label you choose can move to the next stage automatically — everyone else stays where they are for your manual review. No candidate is ever rejected automatically.
The flow at a glance
Application → First stage (New) → AI Call → Evaluation and match label → Automatic move to the next stage, or manual review.
The three pieces you configure
- Role context — the criteria. What the AI should evaluate: competencies, verifiable facts, and signals. This is the briefing you would give a new recruiter.
- AI Call in the pipeline — the conversation. Which stage triggers the call and what the call validates.
- AI movement — the decision. The minimum match label a candidate needs to advance automatically.
Configure them in this order: first the criteria, then the call, and finally the automatic decision.
Before you start
- You need permission to edit the job opening’s settings and its stages.
- The AI agent must be configured in the AI Agent tab (voice, calling hours, retries, company presentation).
- Once an AI Call exists in the process, the phone number becomes a required field in the application form: “It is required because there is an AI call configured in this job’s hiring process.”
- The clearer your role criteria, the better the evaluation.
