Videocall Meeting

Discover top tips for a successful videocall meeting, including how to enhance your communication skills and maintain engagement with remote colleagues.

Video call meetings allow managers and employees to hold 1:1s remotely, with the conversation, notes, transcripts, and AI insights all linked to the 1:1 workspace.

Video call meetings are ideal for remote or hybrid teams. They provide the same structure and continuity as presential meetings, allowing you to capture, analyze, and follow up on every conversation through Factorial.

How to start a videocall meeting

  1. Go to your calendar and click on the scheduled 1:1
  2. Open the meeting link. Factorial will take you to the meeting page, where you can start it either as a presential meeting or as a video call
  3. Choose Video call to start the virtual meeting
  4. Click the Settings icon to check your setup:
    • Audio Input: Select your preferred microphone
    • Audio Output: Choose your speakers or headphones
    • Video Input Pick your webcam or external camera
    • Interactive Sounds: Keep this activated for meeting notifications
    • Background: You can enable or disable background effects
  5. Once everything is set, click Start to begin
  6. When finished, click Exit to stop the recording and save the transcription automatically

 Recommendations

  • Always verify your microphone and camera before joining.
  • Use headphones for better audio quality and cleaner transcription.
  • Keep your browser tab open throughout the call to ensure the recording runs smoothly.
  • Add short notes during the call to help the AI summarize context accurately.

During video calls, the system records two separate audio tracks.

  • One for the manager and one for the employee.

This allows the AI to clearly identify who is speaking, ensuring accurate transcripts, summaries, and insights.

Everything captured is automatically linked to the right person and remains fully compatible with the AI Chat.
