Discover the importance of trust channels and community notifications for enhancing communication and building stronger connections.

Table of Contents

Time Off notifications in Factorial help employees, managers, and HR stay up to date on key events related to leave requests and allowances. This article explains the different types of notifications you may receive, when they are triggered, and how to manage your notification settings so you never miss important updates about time off.

Trust Channel

For the user who files a complaint

  • There is no automatic notification when a complaint is submitted
  • The user can only follow the case using the follow‑up code and password
  • The user will receive an email if the company replies to the complaint (as long as the user provided an email and the complaint is not anonymous)

For complaint managers

  • They receive an email when a new complaint is created
  • They do not receive a push notification inside Factorial for new complaints

Permissions that affect this

  • Only users set as complaint managers receive the new‑complaint email.
  • If a user is not a complaint manager, they won’t receive anything.
  • For the complainer, the email on reply only happens if they are not anonymous.

Spaces

When a user books a space

  • The user receives an email confirmation
  • There is no push notification inside Factorial for this booking confirmation
  • Only the assigned person receives the email (even if someone else created the booking)

When a booking is edited or canceled
  • No notification is sent.

Permissions that affect this

  • It only applies to users who can book spaces and are involved in the booking.
  • If a user cannot access bookings, they won’t receive this email.
  • Users with special permissions can book for others (self, team, reportees, legal entity, or everybody), but the email always goes to the person the booking is for.

Communities

Comments or reactions on your post

  • No notifications are sent when someone comments or reacts.

New posts
  • Users can receive email notifications for some post types (like announcements or events), depending on the post configuration and recipient group.
  • There are no push notifications for new posts.
  • Push notifications exist only for a very specific case: when someone is mentioned in a kudos post.

Permissions that affect this

  • Only users who are included in the post audience can receive email for new posts.
  • Mentions only notify the mentioned person.
  • If a user doesn’t have access to Communities or isn’t part of the audience, they won’t receive anything.
