How to customize Contracts

Learn how to create customized contract fields and how to add additional compensation

Make sure you have created your company's legal entities and added employees to them beforehand so that you can make the necessary edits to their contracts.

 

If you are using Factorial in US English, note that the term Agreements is used in place of contracts. The functionality remains the same.

 

 

Country-Specific agreement fields

Country-specific agreement fields are available for Spain, France, Portugal and Germany.

 
  1. Head to the Settings section, located in the sidebar menu
  2. Go to Employment Data
  3. Scroll down to Country Specific agreement fields
  4. Select the country for their predefined contract fields

In case you need to edit the agreement fields, click on the arrow button.

 

 

 


Agreement contract fields

Agreement contract fields are available only for Spain, Portugal, France, and Germany.

 
  1. Head to the Settings section, located in the sidebar menu
  2. In General, click on Company details
  3. Select the Legal entity where you will be making the edits
  4. Select the Contracts tab
  5. Click the arrow to edit and add options to the contract field
 

 

 


 Additional compensation

In here you can find all the default additional compensation option. To add more:

  1. Click on the arrow button next to the Additional compensation contract field
  2. Select +Add one option and name the new additional compensation
  3. Finally, click on Submit

 

The options can be archived if you no longer want them to appear in the contract field. Simply click on the archive icon.

 

Once the additional compensation has been added, you will find it automatically reflected within the Payroll feature so that you can select it in any period.

 

 

You can also add additional compensations to your employees from their own contracts tab.

 

 

 


Contracts custom fields

You can create new contracts custom fields by:

  1. Click on Add custom field button
  2. Add a title and select the field type
  3. Click Create custom field to save

 

Once the contract custom fields have been added, they will appear in the Employee’s contracts.
