How to manage “fijo-discontinuos” Contract type

Get specific data of your “fijos-discontinuos” employees! See the contract status, periods history and bulk manage your employees.

 

This feature is only for Spanish Market with Enterprise plan.

 

 

Overview

‘Fijo-discontinuo’ contracts allow HR professionals to handle employees with seasonal or periodic work schedules. You can track active periods, inactivity periods, and manage employee access to Factorial accordingly.

When and Why It Should Be Used

Use ‘fijo-discontinuo’ contracts when employees do not work continuously throughout the year but return periodically. This ensures accurate contract tracking, payroll management, and compliance with labor regulations.

 

 

How to Use

‘Fijo-discontinuo’ contract information

  1. Go to the Contract tab of your employee
  2. Check the section of Permanent Seasonal Contract information
    • Contract Status
    • Start of the current period
    • Total active days since the contract started
    • Active days during the current year (since 1st of January)
       

 

Activate a ‘fijo-discontinuo’ contract

  1. Go to the Contract tab of your employee
  2. Click on Start Activity Period
  3. A pop-up tab will appear
  4. Set a starting date for the upcoming activity.
  5. If needed, select and onboarding flow for the employee
  6. Click save

 

 

Deactivate a new ‘fijo-discontinuo’ contract

  1. Go to the Contract tab of your employee
  2. Click on End Activity Period
  3. A pop-up tab will appear
  4. Set an ending date for the current activity period. This date can be in the future.
  5. Set a date to terminate the employee and end its access to factorial
  6. Termination reason will be: Period of Inactivity (Permanen seasonal)
  7. Select a new user to reasign tasks and responsabilities (if needed)
  8. Click Save

 

Bulk Activation

  1. Go to Organisation → People page
  2. Select all the employees you want to Activate
  3. A floating menu will appear in the bottom of the table
  4. Expand the Edit employees button (click on the arrow next to it)
  5. Click on Start activity period
  6. New page will appear with the list of the employees on Inactivity period status you have selected.
  7. Add an start activity date for each of them
  8. Save changes

 

Bulk Deactivation

  1. Go to Organisation → People page
  2. Select all the employees you want to Deactivate
  3. A floating menu will appear in the bottom of the table
  4. Expand the Edit employees button (click on the arrow next to it)
  5. Click End activity period
  6. New page will appear with the list of employees in Activity period status you have selected.
  7. Add an Activity end date for each of them
  8. Add an ending date for the factorial access to each of them
  9. If desired, add a user to reasign taks and responsabilites of the employee being terminated
  10. Save changes

 

Filter to get the list of your ‘fijo-discontinuo’ employees

  1. Go to Organisation → People page
  2. Click on the filters of the table
  3. Click on Contract status filed and select:
    1. Activity Period (Permanent seasonal)
    2. Inactivity Period (Permanent seasonl)
  4. Apply filters

 

Report of all ‘fijos-disconitnuos’ employees

  1. Go to Analytics
  2. Click + Create Dashbaord
  3. Add a title and a description
  4. Click Factorial Templates
  5. Go to Discontinuos Contract Information widget
  6. Click (+) Add widget to Dashboard
  7. Validate which dashboard you want to use
  8. Save
