The bulk restructuring of the Job Catalog tree allows you to move multiple roles or functions at the same time. You can reassign roles to different functions and move functions across families, without having to recreate items manually.
This feature provides flexibility to adapt your Job Catalog as teams, responsibilities, or organisational structures change.
When and why it should be used
Use this functionality when:
- Your organisation has evolved and the current Job Catalog structure no longer reflects reality
- Roles need to be grouped under different functions
- Functions need to be reorganised across families
- You want to save time by avoiding manual re-creation of roles or functions
- It’s especially useful during reorganisations, growth phases, or after changes in responsibilities across teams
How to use
Follow these steps to restructure your Job Catalog tree:
- In your sidebar, go to Organisation
- Access the Jobs tab
- Locate the roles or functions you want to move
- Select one or more items using the checkboxes next to them
- Click on Move to
- Choose the new destination function or family
- Confirm the action
The selected roles or functions will be instantly relocated under the new parent, updating the Job Catalog structure automatically.

If you can’t move a role or function, make sure you have the required permissions to edit the Job catalog and check that at least one item is selected before clicking Move to.
If the structure doesn’t look as expected after moving items, refresh the page to ensure changes are fully loaded and verify that the correct destination function or family was selected. If the issue persists, contact Factorial Support.
