How to set up meal benefits?
First of all, make sure the Meal benefit compensation is enabled:
- In your sidebar go to Settings
- Access the Compensation section
- Select Payroll concepts configuration
- Scroll down to Earnings - Benefits in kind → Meal benefit
- Enable the toggle

From the employee's profile
- Go to Organisation
- Select the employee in question
- Head into the Contracts tab
- Click on Fix conditions
- Select the Effective date and the Start date
- Click on Next
- In Role, level and salary, click on Add additional compensation
- Define the additional compensation, in this case Meal benefit
- Choose the type:
- Fixed
- Variable
- Set the Recurrence
- Choose the date for the first payment
- Click on Save
- Click on Next, confirm the Working hours, Legal and extras and click on Edit conditions

From Compensation
- In your sidebar, go to Compensation
- Choose a cycle
- Click on an employee to open their Compensation dropdown
- Scroll down to Meal benefit
- Set an amount
- The new compensation settings will be automatically updated

In bulk
- In your sidebar, go to Organisation
- Check the boxes of the employees whose contracts you want to edit
- In the bar down below, click on the arrow next to Edit contracts
- Select Add compensations in contracts
- Set the conditions as you did in the employee's profile
- Click on +Create at the upper right corner
