Answers to common questions about the new report-creation experience in Analytics. For questions about your existing reports, see FAQ about Reports & Analytics.
1. What are the three ways to create a new report?
You can create a report with One (describe what you need in conversation), from a template (pre-built by topic, e.g. absences, workforce, missing clock-ins, expenses), or manually — start from scratch (select your own data and columns). All three are available from Analytics > Create a Report, and you can keep refining any of them conversationally with One afterwards.
2. Do I lose my existing reports?
No. Your existing reports, widgets, and SQL reports stay exactly where they are, working exactly as before. They're grouped under Legacy Analytics until they're migrated — there's no migration date confirmed yet.
3. When is this available?
It's rolling out in beta from August 2026.
4. Who can create new reports?
During the beta, only admins.
5. Will I see all company data in a new report?
Currently, yes — there's no permission or hierarchy filtering applied to new reports yet. Any admin who creates or opens a new report sees all company data, unlike Legacy Analytics, where visibility depends on your permissions and the company hierarchy.
6. Is the data in new reports real-time?
Yes. Unlike Legacy Analytics, where you had to manually refresh to get the latest data, new reports are always up to date.
7. Can I filter a report?
Yes, new reports support live filters you can adjust at any time.
8. Can I ask questions about the data in a report?
Yes. Whether you generate a report with One, from a template, or manually, you can keep asking One questions about the data to understand or analyse it further.
9. What happens to a report once it's migrated from Legacy Analytics?
You'll still be able to access it, but it will no longer be editable in its legacy form — this avoids having two versions of the same report active at once.
