AI dashboards

AI dashboards are views on the Dashboard page that Factorial IT builds from your company's data and keeps current. Use them to see at a glance what needs your attention, and pin the one everyone should land on.

Feature/Functionality

Overview

The Dashboard page lists your dashboards as tabs. Classic is the original dashboard. Beside it sit the AI dashboards.

How they behave:

  • Classic is permanent. It cannot be renamed or deleted.
  • The first AI dashboard is Today, a general view of what needs your attention.
  • Each company can have up to 10 AI dashboards.
  • Dashboards are company-wide. All admins see the same views, and a change by one admin applies to everyone.
  • Figures load live every time you open the page.

Prerequisites: admin access to the console.

Read an AI dashboard

Each AI dashboard opens with a Digest: one sentence saying what to deal with first. For example: "Compliance needs you first: 19 devices have an open compliance issue, 11 are not managed by Factorial IT, and 8 new hires start soon."

Click Ask ONE about this digest to open the ONE chat on that digest.

The sections under the digest vary by dashboard. Today has these:

Section What it shows
Needs you now Signals that have crossed their threshold. Each links to the devices, tickets or apps involved.
Fleet health A snapshot of your devices: open compliance issues, computers by age and MDM coverage.
Coming up Onboardings in the next 30 days, plus quick actions.

How to use: create a dashboard

  1. Click + next to the tabs. The New dashboard window opens.
  2. Type a Name. This becomes the tab label.
  3. In Say a few words about the dashboard of your dreams., explain what the dashboard is for. For example: “Security first: compliance issues, unencrypted devices and late updates.”
  4. Click Create. Factorial IT builds the view from your company's data and keeps it current from then on.

Manage a dashboard

  1. Open the dashboard.
  2. Click … at the top right of the page.
  3. Choose an action:
Action What it does
Pin Sets this view as the one the Dashboard page opens on, for everyone in your company.
Rename Changes the tab label.
Delete Removes the view and its instructions. This is permanent.

Pin a dashboard

The pinned view moves to the leftmost tab, and the Dashboard page opens on it for everyone in the company. Only one view can be pinned at a time. Classic is pinned by default.

When you click Pin, a confirmation appears: “The Dashboard page now opens on this view for everyone in your company.”

To make the Dashboard page open on Classic again, pin Classic. Other pages with table views work the same way. See Pin a view.

Keep a dashboard up to date

Factorial IT rebuilds each AI dashboard on a schedule. The time of the last rebuild shows as Updated at … at the top right. The options beside it let you:

  • Set the frequency. Rebuild automatically every 48 hours (the default), every 24, 6 or 3 hours, or switch it Off.
  • Recompose now. Rebuild the dashboard straight away.
  • Improve with ONE. Tell ONE what to change. It updates the dashboard's instructions and then rebuilds it.

Tips and Best Practices

  • Describe a purpose, not a layout. A sentence such as "Security first: compliance issues, unencrypted devices and late updates" gives the best starting point.
  • Agree before pinning. Pinning changes the opening view for every admin in the company.
  • Use Improve with ONE to refine. Ask for the change in plain words instead of deleting and starting again.
  • Shorten the frequency for fast-moving views. Choose 6 or 3 hours if the data changes during the day.
  • Delete with care. Deleting removes the view and its instructions, and cannot be undone.

Troubleshooting and FAQ

Troubleshooting

  • The figures look different from the last update time. Numbers load live on every visit; Updated at … refers to the last rebuild of the view itself.
  • You cannot rename or delete Classic. That is by design. Classic always stays.
  • You cannot add another dashboard. A company can have up to 10 AI dashboards. Delete one you no longer use.
  • The Dashboard page opens on the wrong view for everyone. Another admin has pinned a different view. Pin the one you want, or pin Classic to go back.

FAQ

  1. Are AI dashboards private to me?
No. They are shared across the company, and every admin sees the same views.

  2. How often are they refreshed?
Every 48 hours by default. You can choose 24, 6 or 3 hours, switch it off, or click Recompose now.

  3. Can I undo a deleted dashboard?
    No. Deleting is permanent.

  4. How many views can be pinned?
    One at a time.
