One Analytics helps you quickly understand what is happening in your people data and what to do next. Ask One about a topic, such as attrition, performance, absences, or overtime, or ask about a dashboard you are already viewing to get a summary of what stands out and suggested next steps.
Overview
One Analytics analyses the relevant data and highlights the most important findings for you. Instead of only showing you a report, One helps you identify trends, understand which teams or groups stand out, compare results with relevant benchmarks, and decide what to investigate or do next.
You can use One to:
- Ask questions about a specific Analytics topic, such as attrition or performance
- Ask One to analyse a dashboard you have already created
- Identify trends and changes over time
- See which team or group stands out in a breakdown
- Understand which people may be relevant to a finding, when applicable
- Compare your results with benchmarks from similar companies
- Get a suggested action or a recommendation for a deeper investigation
- Turn an answer into a dashboard if you do not already have one for the topic
When and why it should be used
Use One when you want to move beyond understanding what your data says and quickly identify what may need your attention. For example, you can ask:
- "What stands out about attrition?"
- "Is attrition related to performance?"
- "What stands out in this dashboard?"
- "Which team has the highest absence rate?"
- "How has overtime changed over time?"
One can help you move from data → insight → next step without having to interpret a report on your own.
How to use
- In your sidebar, go to Analytics
- Open One Analytics
- Ask One a question about the topic you want to understand, or open an existing dashboard and ask One about the data you are viewing
- Review the summary of what stands out. Depending on the topic and available data, One may highlight:
- Trends over time
- Teams or groups that stand out
- Relevant people connected to a finding
- Benchmarks against similar companies
- Review the suggested next step. One may recommend investigating the finding in more detail or taking an action in Factorial.
- If you do not already have a dashboard for the topic, follow One's suggestion to create one

One's insights depend on the data available in your Analytics account. If there is not enough relevant data to identify a trend, comparison, or standout group, One may not be able to provide a specific finding. Make sure the relevant data is available in Factorial and try asking a more specific question.
If One's answer does not match what you expected, check the dashboard or topic you are asking about and make sure you are looking at the intended data and time period. You can also ask a follow-up question to explore the finding in more detail.
If you do not have a dashboard for the topic you want to analyse, you can ask One directly about the topic. If a dashboard would be useful, One can offer to turn the answer into one.
Tips and best practices
- Ask specific questions: The more focused your question is, the easier it is to identify a useful insight.
- Use existing dashboards: If you've already built a dashboard, ask One to analyze it instead of starting from scratch.
- Follow up on findings: Use suggested deeper investigations to understand what may be behind a trend or difference between groups.
- Use benchmarks as context: Compare your results with similar companies to help put your data into perspective.
- Turn recurring questions into dashboards: If you regularly need to monitor a topic, consider creating a dashboard from the insights you get from One.
