German companies that process payroll with Agenda can now export their compensation data (payroll variables) from Factorial in the Agenda standard import format. This removes the need to re-enter payroll data manually and helps ensure each value reaches Agenda with the correct employee and wage type codes.
Overview
What is Agenda?
- Agenda is a German payroll provider used by companies and payroll consultants to process monthly payroll.
What does the integration do?
- When you run the Agenda export from a payroll run, Factorial generates a CSV file with one row per compensation. The file contains the employee identifiers, wage type codes (Lohnarten), values and payroll period that Agenda needs to process monthly payroll items.
The following payroll concepts can be exported:
- Deductions
- Fixed salary
- Variable earnings
- Benefits in kind
- Other earnings
Who is it for?
Companies in Germany that use Agenda to process payroll and Factorial to manage HR, time and compensation. The integration is free of charge.
How to use
Step 1: Install the integration
- Go to the Factorial Marketplace
- Find Agenda
- Install the integration for your company
Step 2: Assign legal entity codes
- Go to Settings > Compensations > Agenda integration settings
- For each legal entity, enter the code that identifies it in Agenda
- Save your changes
Step 3: Assign employee codes
- Open each employee's profile
- Enter their Agenda employee code (the Personalnummer used in Agenda)
- Save your changes
This code appears in the Personalnr. column of the exported file and lets Agenda match each row to the correct employee.
Step 4: Map payroll concepts to wage types
- Go back to Settings > Compensations > Agenda integration settings
- Map each Factorial payroll concept to its corresponding Lohnart (wage type) code in Agenda
- Save your changes
Mappings are configured per legal entity, so different legal entities can use different code sets if needed.
Step 5: Export your payroll variables
- In Compensation, open the payroll run you want to export
- Run the Agenda export
- Factorial generates a .csv file covering the payroll period
- Open the payroll run's Activity side panel and go to the Documents section
- Download the file and import it into Agenda
The file name includes your company name, "agenda" and the dates of the payroll period.

FAQ
-
How often is the file exported?
The export is manual. You generate the CSV file from a payroll run each payroll period.
-
Where do I find the exported file?
In the Documents section of the payroll run's Activity side panel.
-
Why are the rate and cost centre columns empty?
Agenda takes the rate from the employee master data, and cost centres are not part of compensation data, so these columns are left blank.
-
Can different legal entities use different wage type codes?
Yes. Wage type mappings are configured per legal entity.
-
Does the integration have a cost?
No. The Agenda integration is free of charge.
