If your company has already purchased paid One seats, you can assign those seats to collaborators without buying them again. In this article, you’ll learn how to find available paid seats and assign them to the right person at no extra cost.
Overview
The Members page in One settings shows paid seats that your company has already purchased but that are not currently assigned.
Use this functionality when you have available paid seats from a previous purchase or sales deal. Assigning one of these seats does not create an additional charge.
How to use
- In your sidebar, go to Settings
- Go to One
- Select Members
- Check the banner showing the paid seats available to assign, for example, 3 Pro seats
- Select the person you want to give access to
- Choose the paid plan you want to assign
- Review the confirmation dialog
- Confirm the assignment
The available paid seat is assigned to the person without opening the checkout or creating an additional charge.
If the person already has another paid plan, their previous seat is removed from that plan when they move to the new plan, as with a regular upgrade.
If there are no available seats for the selected plan, the usual checkout opens so you can purchase an additional seat.
Tips and best practices
- Check the Members page before purchasing a new seat. Your company may already have available seats.
- Use the available seats from previous purchases before buying additional ones.
- Review the plan shown in the confirmation dialog to make sure you're assigning the correct access level.
- If a seat was purchased as part of a sales deal, it should be available for assignment as soon as the purchase is active.
