The Expenses Skill enables employees and managers to consult, track, and manage expenses through conversational requests in One. It provides instant visibility into expense status, categories, and spending, while also allowing approvers to take action directly.
When and why it should be used
Use this feature when you want to:
- Quickly check your expense history or status
- Review spending over a specific period
- Filter expenses by category or type (e.g., travel, mileage)
- Approve or reject expenses without navigating the platform
This is especially useful for saving time and simplifying expense management tasks.
How to use
- Open One
- Type your question in the chat
- Review the information provided by One
For Expense submitters
Use natural language, such as:
- “What are my expenses?”
- “Show me my pending expenses”
- “Do I have any rejected expenses?”
- “Show me my expenses from last month”
- “What expenses do I have from January 2026?”
- “What expense categories are available?”
- “Show me my expenses in the Travel category”
- “How much have I spent on expenses this year?”
- “Do I have any mileage expenses?”
- “Show me my mileage claims”
- “Show me my per diem expenses”
- “Show me approved expenses from last quarter”
- “What pending mileage expenses do I have?”

For Expense approvers
Ask questions such as:
- “What expenses does [employee name] have?”
- “Which expenses are pending from my approval?”
To take action, type:
- “Approve the expenses from [employee name]”
- “Reject the expenses from [employee name]”
Confirm your action when prompted.

If no results are found. make sure your request includes correct dates, categories, or statuses.
If you cannot approve or reject expenses, you may not have the required permissions. Contact your admin.
If ONE shows incorrect or incomplete data, check if the expenses have been properly submitted and recorded.
