Our Project Management tool includes several automated notifications designed to keep project owners, contributors, and employees aligned.
Below you will find a detailed explanation of each notification, when it is triggered, and who receives it.
Time Budget Notifications (75% & 100%)
To help you monitor project profitability and prevent budget overruns, Factorial sends automatic notifications when a project reaches specific time-budget milestones.
When are notifications sent?
- When the project reaches 75% of its planned hours
- When the project reaches 100% of its planned hours (budget fully consumed)
Who receives the notification?
- Project Owners
- Project Editors
(Only those assigned to the specific project)
Why this notification matters
These alerts help teams take action before it's too late: adjust scope, review time entries, or communicate with clients.
Project Activation Notification
When a project is moved from Draft to Active, Factorial automatically notifies all employees involved.
Who receives the notification?
- All employees assigned to the project
Why this notification matters
This ensures every contributor knows that work can now begin, avoiding misalignment and delays.
Project Duplication Notification
Duplicating a project may take a few seconds, especially when copying tasks, documents, or complex structures. To avoid confusion, Factorial notifies the user once the duplication is complete.
Who receives the notification?
- The user who duplicated the project
Why this notification matters
Large projects can take slightly longer to duplicate. This notification lets you continue working in Factorial without waiting, and we will update you as soon as the new project is ready.
