The author of a feedback can delete it permanently. The feedback disappears for every receiver and every manager who could read it. Feedback can't be edited, so deleting and sending it again is the way to correct a mistake.

Before you start

• You can only delete feedback you wrote.
• Deleting can't be undone.
• If the receivers already got the email, the email stays in their inbox.

Steps

Delete from the list (author)

1. Go to Performance → Feedbacks.
2. Click Given.
3. On the feedback card, open the actions menu and click Delete.
4. In Delete feedback?, click Delete to confirm.
5. A Removed successfully message appears.

Delete from the side panel (author)

1. Go to Performance → Feedbacks and click the feedback card.
2. In the side panel, open the actions menu and click Delete.
3. In Delete feedback?, click Delete to confirm.

Delete with One (author)

1. Open One and ask, for example: "Delete the feedback I sent to Marc today."
2. Approve the deletion when One asks.

Rules and behavior

• If you are the author, then the Delete action appears on the feedback card and in the side panel.
• If you aren't the author, then the Delete action doesn't appear, even if you are an admin or the receiver.
• If you delete a feedback sent to several people, then it's deleted for all of them. You can't remove only one receiver.
• If the deletion fails, then the message "Couldn't delete the feedback. Please try again." appears and nothing is deleted.

Limitations

• You can't edit a feedback. Delete it and give it again.
• You can't restore a deleted feedback.
• You can't delete feedback you received.
• Deleting the feedback doesn't recall the email already sent to receivers.

Troubleshooting

• Symptom: "I don't see Delete on a feedback." → Cause: you aren't the author. → Fix: ask the author to delete it.

FAQ

1. Can I edit feedback I already sent?

No. Delete it and send a new one.

2. Will the receiver know I deleted it?

They aren't notified. The feedback simply disappears from their list.

3. Can I hide a feedback I received?

No. Only the author can delete feedback.
