Inventory helps you track and manage the assets assigned to your workforce throughout the employee lifecycle. You can now manage any type of company asset—not just IT equipment—making it easier to assign items, store related documentation, and support onboarding processes across different teams.
Overview
Inventory is the central place to manage all assets that can be assigned to employees. Each asset belongs to a category, can be assigned to an employee, and remains traceable throughout its lifecycle.
In addition to IT equipment such as laptops and monitors, you can now use Inventory to manage other asset types, including:
- Safety equipment
- Tools
- Uniforms
- Vehicles
- Any custom asset category
All asset categories support documents and onboarding flows, allowing you to standardise asset management across your organisation.
This functionality is especially useful for organisations that need to document the delivery of mandatory equipment, monitor expiration dates, or maintain records for compliance purposes.
How to use
- In your sidebar, go to Inventory
- Create a new asset category or select an existing one
- Add the assets you want to manage within that category
- You can filter the assets by category
- Assign an asset to an employee
- Attach any relevant documents, such as delivery receipts, certificates, or signed acknowledgements
- If applicable, include the asset in an onboarding flow so it can be assigned as part of the employee onboarding process
Track the asset throughout its lifecycle and update its information as needed, including expiration dates for assets that require periodic renewal.

If you cannot attach documents to an asset category, verify that you are using the updated Inventory experience. If the option is still unavailable, contact your administrator or the support team.
If you need to track equipment that is not related to IT, create a custom asset category for the equipment you want to manage. All asset categories support assignments, documentation, and onboarding flows.
If you need proof that an employee received an asset, attach the signed delivery document to the assigned asset. This creates a record that can be referenced later if needed.
Tips and best practices

- Record expiration dates for assets that require regular replacement or renewal, such as personal protective equipment (PPE)
