Companies using fijos discontinuos can now manage the start and end of activity periods directly from Factorial and sync these updates automatically with a3innuva.
This functionality reduces manual work and helps HR teams avoid duplicate or confusing employee updates by generating a single, clear incidence for each activation or deactivation event.
Overview
When managing fijos discontinuos, companies often need to:
- Reactivate employees at the beginning of a working season
- Deactivate employees at the end of the activity period
Previously, these actions could generate duplicate updates in Compensation, requiring HR teams or bookkeepers to manually complete the process in a3innuva.
With this update:
- Reactivations generate a single Start of activity period incidence
- Deactivations generate a single End of activity period incidence
Both incidences are syncable to a3innuva.
This functionality is especially useful for companies with a high volume of seasonal employees, such as:
- Hotels
- Hospitality groups
- Tourism companies
- Seasonal operations businesses

If the incidence is not syncing to a3innuva, check that:

- The incidence types are enabled in both platforms
- The employee is configured as a fijo discontinuo
If duplicate updates still appear, verify that manual compensation updates are not being created in parallel with activity period incidences.
Tips and best practices

- Make sure the integration with a3innuva is active and properly configured
- Use these incidences instead of creating manual compensation updates to avoid duplicate information
- Coordinate with payroll or external bookkeepers to ensure the same configuration is enabled in the Professionals platform
