Factorial allows you to customize several personal settings so that your experience in the platform matches your language, region, and time preferences. These configurations apply only to your individual account and do not affect other employees or the company settings.
Personalizing these options can help streamline your daily work, make information easier to read, and ensure the platform adapts to your preferred format.
What personal preferences can you change?
You can modify the following settings—only for your own account:
1. Language
Choose the language in which you want to use the platform.
For more details about available languages, see this article.
2. Date and number format
Factorial automatically adjusts the available date and number format options based on the language you have selected. This means that the formats shown in the dropdown will reflect the standard regional conventions for that language. For example, choosing English (US) will display formats commonly used in the United States, while selecting Spanish (ES) will show formats typically used in Spain or Latin America. You can then choose the option that best matches your preferred way of reading dates and numbers.
3. Time format
Choose between:
- 12-hour (AM/PM)
- 24-hour
This affects how times appear in calendars, time-off views, timesheets, etc.
4. Start week on
You can choose any day of the week as the first day of your calendar in Factorial. All seven days are available in the dropdown, so you can configure your calendar according to your personal preference or local working habits. This setting affects only your own view of calendars and scheduling tools.

Important Notes

FAQ
-
Why are some parts of the platform not translated after I change the language?
Some elements in Factorial do not change language because they have been manually configured by your company. For example, custom absence types, labels, or internal names created by your organization will remain in the original language used during their setup. Since these items are user-defined, they are not automatically translated when you change your personal language preferences.
